With two partners we started a company whose mission is to empower locals to support locals through e-commerce and the convenience demanded by today’s society. We developed relationships with a dozen farms within 60 miles of Chattanooga, scores of artisans to give Chattanoogans access to the highest quality local foods. We employ many folks with learning and intellectual disabilities, giving them purpose and satisfaction. This project enhanced my skills in project management, leadership, team building, budgets, planning, quality and coordination. It is now able to function with minimal input as we have developed a great team.
